Monday
Miss Annette’s Weekly Preview: Take a few minutes to watch Miss Annette’s Weekly Video with your child. In this short video, Miss Annette introduces the theme and letter of the week, shares five fun facts about PETS, and previews a few engaging activities designed to support the six areas of child development.
Fur, Scales and Feathers: Cut out pictures of different animals together. Help your child look closely at each animal and sort them into groups with fur, feathers, or scales. Talk about how each body covering helps animals live and stay safe.

The WHY: This activity builds science and observation skills by helping children notice similarities and differences between animals. Sorting also strengthens thinking skills, vocabulary, and early classification skills while encouraging hands-on learning.
Tuesday
Watch the “All About the Letter Ff” video. Ask this question after watching, “What are three words beginning with the /f/ sound?”

Creative Letter Ff: Complete the “hands-on” letter Ff worksheet by choosing one of the four suggested creative activities or come up with your own unique idea.

June Letters Find the letter f’s: Have your child look through the list of words and mark an X on every letter “f” they find. When they finish, ask them to count how many “f’s” they found altogether. Extend the learning by reading each word aloud with your child. As you read, guide your finger from left to right under the word.
The WHY: This activity builds letter recognition and counting skills in a fun, hands-on way!
Keep this printable below and slide it into a plastic sleeve. We’ll be using it each week this month!

Thursday

Letter Box F: Watch our fun “Letter Box” video about the letter Ff. After watching, go on an “expedition” to find one thing around your house for each year your child is old, all beginning with the /f/ sound. It’s a fun way to keep the learning go.

F is for Fish: Complete the F is for Fish worksheet with your child. Let your child set the pace. Speed should not be a factor. The alphabet series is perfect for slipping into a protective sleeve, allowing for repeated practice and engagement. Invite your child to circle the one they like best. 🙂

Friday
